Summit Conference cross country medalers

Ganesville High School cross country runners who medaled at the Summit Conference meet in Conway on Oct. 23 were, from left, Ben Pointer, sixth with a time of 20:02; Aspyn Britt, first with 22:09; and Javy Rosa, third with a time of 19:29. The runners went on to compete at the Class 2 District 5 meet in Willow Springs on Oct. 28. Britt, a senior, took second with a time of 21:38.57, which qualifies her to compete at the Class 2 state meet set for Nov. 4 at Oak Hill Golf Course in Hough Park at Jefferson City. This marks Britt’s third consecutive year to earn a spot at the state tournament.
