Send us your photos for The Real Ozarks magazine

This year’s The Real Ozarks magazine is being redesigned as a guide to all the opportunities for Ozark County fun available to visitors and residents alike, and we’re looking especially for photos showing people  doing that here. If you have photos of your family and friends enjoying Ozark County’s lakes and rivers, hiking or horesback riding over its trails and through its forests or sharing other popular activities, we invite you to share them with us for this year’s magazine, which is distributed locally through area businesses and resorts as well as through visitors centers statewide. The magazine will also be available for online viewing at ozarkcountytimes.com.
This year’s magazine will be published March 22, and for the first time, all photos in the magazine will be printed in color. Deadline for submissions is Friday, Feb. 24.
Amateur and professional photographers are invited to submit quality photos to be included in the magazine. Everyone who submits a photo will have his or her name entered in a drawing for a $100 cash prize.
Readers and photographers are encouraged to review photos on their smartphones and in digital albums and send photos taken throughout all seasons of the year. Photos should have good color and contrast, and they should represent the scenic beautiful, recreational opportunities or rural lifestyle of Ozark County.
Digital photos with at least 200 dpi resolution are preferred; email them to jessi@ozarkcountytimes.com. Be sure to include your name, address and phone number as well as information about the photo’s subject. JPEG or TIFF files are preferred.
Hard-copy prints that are submitted should be at least 4” x 6” with the photographer’s name, address and phone number attached to the back of each photo. (Do not write on the back of the photo with a ballpoint pen.)
Credit will be given to the photographer of each photo published in the magazine.
