Senior center plans fundraiser

The Ozark County Senior Center is holding its biggest fundraiser of the year from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11. "We're calling it 'The Main Event,'" said administrator Jerri Crawford. "Every bit of the money raised by this fundraiser goes to our meals program."
The Main Event is a barbecued chicken dinner with all the sides for $6. "This deal is for everyone," Crawford said. "We want everybody to eat with us or pick up dinner to go. One of the things I really want to get across is that this dinner and our weekday lunches are open to everyone, regardless of age. You do not have to be a senior citizen to eat here.
"The Theodosia United Methodist men are pulling their big cooker over here and barbecuing the chicken. They do an awesome job. You are not going to want to miss this," she said.
Dessert donations will be accepted until 3 p.m. Tuesday. For more information, call the center at 679-4746.
