The crew at the Gainesville maintenance building is responsible for clearing about 200 miles of primary and secondary highways in the county.

The Gainesville crew was directed by Marvin McGinnis, acting maintenance supervisor in the absence of Coy Runion, who is recovering from surgery. The other crew members are Ronnie Beavers, Junior Collins and Richard Miller. The crew worked 116 hours in January and drove 8,000 miles clearing roads. There were 2,300 gallons of gasoline and 140 gallons of diesel fuel used. The crew spread 200 yards of abrasives mixed with six tons of salt and two tons of calcium chloride.
