Ava Growers plans seed kit give-away Saturday in Ava

On April 15, the Ava Growers Project will hold its fourth annual seed kits give-away in the gazebo at the Saturday morning farmers’ market on the Ava square. The seed kits are designed for easy gardening and relatively quick results, with the idea of encouraging people to grow their own food.

In addition to the seed kits, which are free to individuals and families who want to plant a vegetable garden, it’s hoped that an exchange table full of books on gardening and crafts, as well as saved seeds, will be available. Those who save seeds and want to share them, or have books on gardening and crafts that are no longer needed are encouraged to bring them to this event to give away.

For more information call Ava Growers at 417-746-4006 or email avagrowers@gmail.com.
