BASEBALL: Lions fall to Hartville, beat Dora in double-header... Wins bring record to 7-2

The Bakersfield baseball team had their second loss of the fall baseball season when they fell to Hartville 6-1 on Thursday, Sept. 26, but the Lions came back strong and defeated the Dora Falcons twice in Monday night’s double-header action.

The Bakersfield boys traveled to Dora to take on the Falcons Monday, Sept. 30. Bakersfield beat Dora 13-5 in the first game of the night.

Ty Cotter and Austin Durham had two hits. Jake Summers and Alex Helms had one hit.

The second game was a close one, but the Lions came up with a 7-6 win over the Falcons. Ruhystn Lovins had two hits and Eli Cotter and Austin Durham had one hit each.

The last regular season game is on Thursday, Oct. 3 at Alton. The Big Springs Conference Tournament  is set for Oct. 7-10.
