Lady Lions play in Couch tourney

The Bakersfield Lady Lions volleyball team participated in the Aug. 27 Couch Jamboree tournament alongside competitors Couch, Doniphan and Koshkonong.
In the varsity’s first match up, the Lady Lions secured a win against Koshkonong, winning both matches 15-7 and 15-6. The JV team also took on and beat Kosh, 15-12.
The Bakersfield girls then faced Doniphan and took a well-fought loss in both matches: 15-9 and 16-14. The JV team also lost 16-14.
In the final match-up of the night, the Lady Lions varsity girls took on the home team, Couch, and secured a win in both matches, 15-10 and 16-14. The Lions JV team also took a win against Couch, 15-12.
“Overall, it was a solid performance by these young ladies,” said Head Coach Suzanne Montague.
