Candidate filing begins Tuesday

Candidate filing for the Aug. 7 primary election will begin Tuesday, Feb. 28, and continue until 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 27.
Offices up for election are county commissioner (western and eastern), sheriff, assessor, treasurer (the late David Ford’s two-year unexpired term), public administrator, coroner and surveyor.
Declarations of candidacy will also be filed for political officers for township committeeman and committeewoman.
The county clerk’s office is open from 8 a.m. to noon and from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
