Another man faces meth charges from search warrant

Jimmy Todd, 67, also of Woodpecker Lane in Wasola, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine after authorities allegedly found the drug in his bedroom while executing a search warrant at the residence June 19 (see above, related story on housemate Donnie Free). 

According to the probable cause statement, prepared by Ozark County Deputy Gannan Moss, officers served a search warrant at a residence in Wasola and located Todd inside his bedroom. He was detained while officers conducted a search of the property.

“During a search of Todd’s bedroom, I located a glass skull containing a white residue. The substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine,” Moss wrote in his report. “Further investigation revealed that Todd is a convicted felon currently on parole. Officers discovered that Todd had open access to an unlocked gun safe located outside his bedroom, which contained multiple firearms.”

Todd is charged with one class D felony count of possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested June 20 and held on a $2,500 cash-only bond.

Court records show Todd was scheduled to appear before Associate Judge Raymond Gross at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday for a bond reduction hearing. Details of that hearing were not available by presstime.
