Volleyball - The Lady Falcons volleyball team had a loss to Ava 0-3 on Aug. 29, but rekindled their spirit and took home a win against the Gainesville Bulldogs Aug. 31. Varsity took the game 3-1, while the Falcons JV volleyball team also won 2-0.
Volleyball action continued for the Lady Falcons this week with games against Koshkonong Tuesday, Bradleyville Thursday, Bakersfield Friday and Fordland on Monday, Sept. 11.
Baseball - The Dora Falcons baseball team took a 1-8 loss to Gainesville Aug. 29, and then fell to Van Buren 2-14 on Sept. 1. The Falcons were set to play Alton on Tuesday, Summersville on Friday and Norwood Tuesday, Sept. 12.
Cross country - The Dora cross country runners competed in the Richard Clark Invitational in Bolivar Sept. 2, in the 3.1-mile run. Dora varsity girls placed second as a team out of two class 1 teams with Isabelle Martin (22:43:80) leading the team followed by Emma Martin (22:52:38). The varsity boys placed fifth out of seven class 1 teams. They were led by Cade Nold (17:19:15) and Joshua Nold (18:24:33). Both teams are scheduled for meets at Willow Springs Thursday and in Alton on Wednesday, Sept. 13.
