MOCH ground breaking
<p class="p1">Local community leaders joined Missouri Ozark Community Health administrators and board members April 5 to break ground for construction of a new 6,000-square-foot medical and dental facility in Gainesville. From left are Ozark County Chamber of Commerce member Elda Edwards, MOCH CEO Tim Shryack, Rich Kramer Construction superintendent Kerry Willis, Dan Wadlington of Sen. Roy Blunt’s office, Ozark County presiding commissioner John Turner, Gainesville mayor Gail Reich, MOCH board vice president Rhonda Suter, MOCH board chair Carol Cunningham, MOCH board treasurer Don Pinckney, board member Bart Ellison, chief operating officer Jennifer Heinlein, chief financial officer Randall Gann, Ozark County Chamber of Commerce vice president Doug Hawkins and Lowell Thomas of Rich Kramer Construction. The new building will be built in the parking lot just east of the current modular building on Elm Street next to the Gainesville post office and will feature a community room where people can congregate or groups and businesses can hold meetings. The estimated cost of the building is $1.2 million; it is partially funded by a $900,000 Health Infrastructure Investment Program grant awarded last year through the Affordable Care Act’s Community Health Center fund. Shryack says he hopes construction can be completed by the end of 2017 without any interruption in service. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
