Join us Sunday, Oct. 7, for our First-Sunday fried chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

And please note that The Center will be closed Monday, Oct. 8, in observance of Columbus Day.

 

 

Menus  

Lunch is served daily from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is open to everyone. The cost is $6 for those younger than 60; a $3.50 donation is requested for those over 60. Call 679-4746 to order take-out for 25 cents more.

Wednesday, Sept. 26: open-face roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, candied carrots, fresh-baked roll, apple dumplings.  Thursday, Sept. 27: meatload, mashed potatoes and gravy, seasoned-green beans, homestyle biscuit, spice cake. Friday, Sept. 28: fried fish, brown beans, coleslaw, cornbread, banana-split cake.

OATS

OATS transportation is available to the entire county and to anyone regardless of age, income, disability, race, gender, religion or national origin. If you don’t see your area listed, call driver Angela Pleasant, 417-343-0573, for help arranging your ride. For rides from Bakersfield, Caulfield and Dora, call Jean Lawing, 284-7377; from Theodosia and Gainesville, call Mary Piepergerdes, 679-4142. To arrange rides to Springfield, call Lawing or Pleasant. For trips on Tuesday, please call by the preceding Friday; for trips on Thursday, please call by Tuesday. No scheduling is done on the weekend. 

The only OATS trip scheduled for the rest of September is Thursday, Sept. 27: Caulfield and Bakersfield go to West Plains.

This is the schedule for October: Each Thursday of the month Caulfield and Bakersfield go to West Plains. Tuesday, Oct. 2: Theodosia and Gainesville go to Branson. Monday, Oct. 8: Pontiac, Theodosia and Gainesville go to Springfield. Tuesday Oct. 9: Theodosia and Gainesville go to West Plains. Monday, Oct. 15: Caulfield and Bakersfield go to Mountain Home, Arkansas. Tuesday, Oct. 16: Theodosia and Gainesville go to Mountain Home. Tuesday, Oct. 23: The whole county goes to Gainesville. The Ozark County Food Pantry is open at a special time this day only for OATS riders. Monday, Oct. 29: Pontiac goes to Branson.
