‘Walk the Streets of Bakersfield’ car show, Bakersfest is this Saturday, Sept. 12

The 28th annual “Walk the Streets of Bakersfield” car show will be held during Bakersfest, Saturday, Sept. 12, in downtown Bakersfield. Registration is between 9 and 11 a.m. that morning, with awards given at 1 p.m. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 50 entries.
The entry fee is $20 to show/compete, $10 to just display. Classes include 1960 and older; 1961 to 1980- 1981 to 2000; 2001 to present. There will be awards given to first, second and third in each category. Cars and trucks are judged separately in each class. There will also be a motorcycle division with first, second and third places awarded.
The car show is held, rain or shine, and organizers ask those in attendance to respect the decision of the judges, as those decisions are final.
