Arkansas man hurt in Bakersfield crash

Jonathan M. O’Conner, 23, of Gassville, Arkansas, was flown by Air Evac to Cox South Hospital in Springfield Oct. 7 after wrecking his motorcycle in Bakersfield. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol online crash report filed by Trooper J. O. Prater, O’Conner was traveling southbound on Highway 101 in Bakersfield on a 2002 Suzuki VL800 motorcycle around 5:28 p.m. Saturday when he came into contact with loose gravel in the roadway and overturned. He was wearing a helmet, according to the report, and sustained moderate injuries. The motorcycle had moderate damage and was removed from the scene by a private party.
