Holiday means offices and businesses close, Times publishes early

Because the July 4th holiday falls on Wednesday, the regular weekly publishing day for the Ozark County Times, this week’s edition is being published and mailed a day early, on Tuesday. That means some weekly reports are abbreviated, and some usual items may be missing due to the short reporting cycle. We will return to our regular schedule next week.
The Times office, along with banks, the post office, the Ozark County Volunteer Library, The Center, the Gainesville license office and most government offices will be closed Wednesday in observance of the Independence Day holiday.  
The July food pantry distribution dates will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 5, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 11.
