Karla Hogan is now Theodosia post master

The United States Postal Service announced recently that Karla Hogan has been named the new Theodosia post master. Although she’s new to the title, Karla isn’t new to Ozark County or the USPS.

Karla and husband Mike own a farm in Ozark County in the Nottinghill area.

“I have lived all my life in Ozark County. I grew up in Zanoni - Sycamore area on a farm that has been in my family for several years. I attended school in Dora,” she said. “Growing up, I spent a lot of time fishing and swimming in Bull Shoals Lake.”

Karla started her career with the USPS in 2001 at Zanoni post office when she was hired as a “PMR,” an acronym that stands for post master relief. She was promoted to postmaster at Zanoni post office in 2008 and served there until 2014 when she accepted a position within the USPS at West Plains. She served in West Plains from 2014 until last October when longtime Theodosia postmaster Maurice “Moe” Anna retired after a 19-year career. Karla was hired to replace Moe, and she says she’s honored to take the job.

“I will have the pleasure of serving the Theodosia community as their postmaster, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s a wonderful community, and I look forward to making many new friends. I take pride in Delivering for America. I love driving across the [Theodosia] bridge every morning and seeing all of the activity. It’s a great place to work,” she told the Times recently.

The Theodosia post office, located at 5625 Highway 160 in Theodosia, is open from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday except for a 12:30 to 1 p.m. lunch. The office is also open from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
