Microburst?

Multiple storage buildings, displayed at Nash & Sons off Highway 160 just west of Gainesville, were destroyed by strong wind gusts last week. The buildings were caught up in unusually strong wind gusts following a line of rain that came through the area May 11, which also flipped a camper over in the nearby parking lot. The remnants of the buildings were blown into the ditch line alongside Highway 160, and one building’s roof was even blown across the highway and came to rest on the other side. Employees with Nash & Sons say they have never seen winds as strong as were displayed that day, and they wonder if a microburst or some other unique weather phenomenon is to blame.
