Ozark County passes 'use tax'

The third time was the charm for the Ozark County "use tax" measure. The question passed during the April 2 General Municipal Election with a vote of 643 yes (56.80%) and 489 no (43.20%) after being voted down during two prior elections.
The passage means that Ozark County residents will pay 2% Ozark County sales tax on all goods purchased online, and Ozark County will receive the tax revenue for use in its general fund, road and bridge division and within the Ozark County Sheriff's Department.
