Tecumseh man killed in weekend motorcycle crash

A Tecumseh man was killed Saturday when his 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle crossed the centerline of U.S. Highway 160 about 3 miles east of Gainesville and struck a pickup truck.

Todd D. Huddleston, 57, of Tecumseh was killed in the 3:10 p.m. crash that closed Highway 160 for nearly three hours Saturday afternoon.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Huddleston was eastbound on Highway 160 when he crossed the centerline and struck a westbound 2014 Ford F150 pickup head on. The pickup was being driven by Kelly K. Davenport, 46, of West Plains, who was not injured. A passenger on the motorcycle, 66-year-old Deborah A. Foote, was seriously injured in the crash and was airlifted by Air Evac to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

The motorcycle was totaled in the crash while the pickup sustained moderate damage, according to MSHP Trooper K.L. Hogan.

This is the 24th fatality in the MSHP Troop G area, compared with 18 for the same time period last year.
