Carol Kay Jones, 84

Carol Kay Jones, 84, of Price Place, Arkansas, died March 16, 2026, at Baxter Health Hospital in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born Aug. 3, 1941, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to Frank and Janice (Jentsch) Lewis.
On Dec. 27, 1959, Carol married William Ernest “Ernie” Jones in Yuma, Arizona. To this union, four children were born. Carol worked for many years as a cashier at a truck stop. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. She was also the 1999 Illinois Class D horseshoe-pitching champion. She and her husband moved to Price Place in 2013, after vacationing on Bull Shoals Lake for 40-plus years. They loved the Ozarks. Ernie passed away in December 2021.
Carol is survived by her four children: Kenneth Jones of Price Place, Arkansas, Terry Jones of Troy, Illinois, Mark Jones of Price Place, Arkansas, and Tom Jones II of Independence; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Alice Anderson of Price Place, Arkansas, and Wendy Kossakoski of Troy, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Janice Lewis; and two brothers: Kerry Lewis and Gene Lewis.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
