Chester Trivitt, 91

Graveside funeral services with full military honors for Chester Trivitt, 91, of Gainesville, were held at Friday, July 12, 2024, in the Howards Ridge Cemetery. Jimmy Kyle officiated.
Chester was born Oct. 1, 1932, to Jim Ed and Cora Eva (Oels) Trivitt at Gamaliel, Arkansas. He passed away July 9 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Chester married Patsy Kirkland on Sept. 1, 1955. They have three children, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Chester served in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge, Chester worked on several locks and dams in Arkansas and Missouri until he was able to pay for the farm. He then moved back home to Howards Ridge where he worked for Herman Keeter Farms and Aromatic Cedar Mill. Chester retired from Aromatic Cedar in Gainesville.
After retirement from the cedar mill, he devoted his time to his family and farm. He was happiest at home surrounded by family and friends.
He is survived by three children: Jim Trivitt and wife Debi, Trena Uchtman and husband Doyle, Bill Trivitt and wife Sara; six grandchildren: Joe Uchtman and wife Jaime, Justin Trivitt, Trent Uchtman and wife Barbara, Randi Grant, Tanner Trivitt and Madison Osborne and husband Gavin; 10 great-grandchildren: Jordan Trivitt, Jillian Trivitt, Addie Trivitt, Marli Grant, Sy Grant, Maysa Mansfield, Jenna Uchtman, Tate Uchtman, Jackson Uchtman and Jarrett Uchtman; one great-great-granddaughter Leighton Mansfield; niece Colleen Kendall; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Patsy Trivitt; sister Eutha Kirkland; daughter-in-law Shari Trivitt; and niece Tammy Johnson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or Howards Ridge Cemetery.
