Daniel David Smotherman, 80
Daniel David Smotherman, 80, of Pontiac, died peacefully in his home Oct. 10, 2022. He was born Dec. 6, 1941, in Charleston, Missouri.
Dan was a retired tool and die machinist and United States Air Force veteran.
He loved to spend his time outdoors and with family and friends. He was a wonderful man who loved his family fiercely and will be missed by many.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lula (née Todd) Smotherman; brothers Fred Smotherman and wife Mildred, Cleo Smotherman; and sisters Veda Eldridge and husband Buck, Theda Kaschmitter and husband Leonard and Weda Clemment.
Surviving are his daughters Toni Mitchell and husband Kirk of Pontiac and De Littlefield and husband Tim of Marine, Illinois; his grandchildren Danielle Ellis and Samuel Garland; and his sister Marie Pemberton.
