Keith Lenward Cofer, 60

 

Graveside funeral services for Keith Lenward Cofer, 60, of Isabella, was held May 27, 2024, in the Hart Cemetery in Dugginsville. Officiating was Bro. David Homer Jr. 

He died May 20, at his residence. He was born Feb. 21, 1964, in Oxford, Mississippi to Fran Lenward Cofer and Clair Eileen Bonds.

Keith grew up in Mississippi, Missouri and Texas before graduating high school; and then continued his education and became a respiratory therapist. He worked for many years at the Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, and was even a member of the Pedi-Flite Helicopter team.

On April 25, 1987, Keith was united in marriage to Debra Gillispie. The couple moved from Mississippi to the Ozarks in 2011. They made their home in Isabella. Keith enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He loved working in the yard, going to the lake and boating. He was loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Debra Cofer of the home in Isabella; son Cameron Cofer and daughter Krista Cofer, both of Isabella; six grandchildren: Mia Gandy, Kylie McCullough, Keith McCullough, Kaisley McCullough, Carolina Cofer-Johnson and Kylan Ledbetter; three brothers: Ken Cofer and wife Erin of Franklin, Tennessee, Bryan Sapp and wife Sarah of Oxford, Mississippi, and David Sapp and wife Rhonda of Midland, Texas; two aunts: Mary Lou Bonds of Abbeville, Mississippi, and Laurie Bonds of Texas; and two very dear friends Bill Downs of Benton, Mississippi, and J.J. Downs of Olive Branch, Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father C.L. Sapp; brother Chris Sapp; and aunt Mildred Bonds.
