La Rane Wright, 78

Graveside funeral services for La Rane (Crisp) Wright, 78, of Marshfield, formerly of Gainesville, were held Feb. 28, 2025, in the Smith Chapel Cemetery with her son-in-law, Rodger Hickerson officiating.
Mrs. Wright died Feb. 23, at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava. She was born July 22, 1946, in Gainesville to Hayes and Marie (Collins) Crisp.
La Rane moved to Kansas City, Missouri, right after graduating high school in Gainesville. She met Russell Wright from Jasper, Arkansas, in Kansas City, and they were married. La Rane retired from Stuart Hall paper company in 1996, where she drove a forklift.
When they retired and moved back to Ozark County, La Rane worked part time for Subway for several years until she suffered a stroke in January of 2020.
She loved to cook – everything from cheesecakes to gumbo. She showed her love with food. She also loved to travel.
La Rane was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Wright Sr.; her parents, Hayes and Marie Crisp; her two grandsons, Rodger Neil Hickerson Jr. and Tyler Hickerson; and her siblings: Judy Clouse, Edward Crisp and Lonnie Crisp.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Hickerson and husband Rodger; her son, Russell Wright Jr; granddaughter, Riley Williams; nieces and nephews: Peggy Williams and husband David, Robert Crisp and wife Krista, and their son, Alex Crisp; and one brother, Leon Crisp.
