Ronald T. Misek, 76

Funeral services for Ronald T. Misek, 76, of Theodosia, were held July 20, 2024, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville. Burial was at the Lutie Cemetery.
He died July 18, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 14, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, to Jerry S. and Genevieve C. (Pinas) Misek.
Ronald graduated from DePaul University School of Business in Chicago in 1971. Later, in 1999, he completed a teaching certificate in high school math. He worked for L. Karp & Sons in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, from 1975 to 1986, when he moved from Chicago to Marion County, Arkansas.
He started and built the Cedar Creek Cove Resort on Bull Shoals Lake, which is still in operation. Outside the resort, Ronald also worked at Ace Hardware in Theodosia from 1991 to 1998, and taught at Lutie R-VI School District from 1999 to 2015.
He was loved and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Ronald is survived by wife Gail Misek, of the home in Theodosia; children: Edward Oskorep and wife Jessica, Kimberlee Misek and husband Matthew Gibson and Jill Hand and husband Emmett; grandchildren: Haley and Emily Oskorep, Grace Gibson, Jenna and Jax Hand; and a host of extended family members.
