Vickie Lee Rowlett, 69

A celebration of life for Vickie Lee Rowlett, 69, of Gainesville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, at the Lick Creek Volunteer Fire Department. 

She died Aug. 11, 2026, at Ozarks Healthcare Hospital in West Plains. She was born Jan. 10, 1957, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Leahmon and Maxine (Baxter) Rowlett.

After high school, Vickie earned her Associate of Arts degree. She worked many years in housekeeping for retirement homes and schools in Mountain Home. She loved reading, writing and family gatherings. She also loved studying about the Civil War and her family history.

She is survived by her children: James and Lexi Garay, Chaz and April Brock, Kayla and Scott Hermanson and Jackie Wustrack; her boyfriend, George Healey; her brothers Jerry Rowlett and Dewayne Rowlett; many grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leahmon and Maxine Rowlett; her best friend, Doug Hermanson; friend, Cher; cousin, Sandy Rowlett; and her beloved dog, Jo Jo.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
