OPT station to feature Ozark Co. Historium

The Ozark County Historium will be featured in a segment of the Ozarks Public Television show Ozarks Watch at 1:30 p.m. Sunday,  Feb 26, and at 10:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27.
Host Jim Baker visited the Historium last fall and said last week he was intrigued by the name Historium. “I don’t think I’d heard that word before, and I liked the way it combined the ideas of a museum and a place with the flexibility to do so many things,” he said.
Next, Baker said, he was impressed “by the volunteers who work there and make it place where the history of the county is preserved and made available to everyone.”
Ozarks Public Television airs locally on channel 21.
The Historium is the home of the Ozark County Genealogy and Historical Society. It has a cataloged library of reference and historical materials related to the county and is currently hosting a one-woman quilt show featuring the quilts of Dora resident Ina Bird.
