Faye Dianne Schmitt, 74

Faye Dianne Schmitt, age 74 of Theodosia, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. She was born October 26, 1948, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Floyd Allen Key and Alice Rose (Pasley) Key. On May 18, 1974, Dianne was united in marriage to Charles Schmitt.

After graduating from high school, Dianne enjoyed being a hair stylist before becoming a wife and mother. Her greatest pleasure was raising her children, helping others and being a homemaker. She received great joy being a grandmother and adored her grandchildren. Dianne was a multi-talented painter and was gifted as an artist in oil painting, arts and crafts. She was also an avid reader, she read many books and especially enjoyed military and mystery novels. Living on the lake was a great advantage for Dianne and her family, as they enjoyed sharing time together and boat riding. Dianne was an animal lover of horses and especially cared for her Boxer and Dachshund dogs. Dianne will be sadly missed but her loving memory will live on forever in the hearts of her wonderful family.

Dianne is survived by her loving husband Charles; four children Leah Grubbs and husband Michael, Laurie Gray and husband Brian, Chuck Schmitt and wife Vien, Matt Schmitt and wife Wendy; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, other caring relatives, numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Dianne was also preceded in death by her older brother, her twin brother and three sisters.

Celebration of Life Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2022, in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri.
