Wildred Alfred Brumley, 91
Funeral services for Wilfred Alfred Brumley, 91, of Bakersfield, were held Feb. 8, 2018, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home in West Plains. Mr. Brumley died Feb. 4 at his home.
He was born Nov. 12, 1926, at Wyatt, Missouri, the son of Eugene and Maddie Ornduff Brumley. He was a veteran, having served with the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion of Bakersfield and served as commander of the Disabled American Veterans in West Plains for more than 10 years.
Before his retirement, Mr. Brumley was a United States Postal Service clerk in Jefferson City.
In 1987 in Bakersfield, he married Bertha Lister.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha, of the family home; seven children, Linda Jefferson and husband George, Elaine Hernandez and husband David, Mary Callahan and husband Richard, Roger Brumley and wife Phyllis, Pat Sloan and husband Jack, John Oetting and wife Mary, and Aaron Oetting; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Brumley and wife Terri; two sisters, Barbara Wilson and Mary Southard and husband Roger; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Rose; six sisters, Minnie Brumley, Mae Masik, Mella Fern Barnard, Melissa Maupin, Connie Heathman and Nancy Reed; and three brothers, Eugene Brumley Jr., Paul Brumley and Warren Brumley.
