William Donald Shipwash, 68

William Donald Shipwash, 68, of Tecumseh, died Oct. 29, 2021, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. The family will receive friends and family at their home. A celebration of Mr. Shipwash’s life will be held at a later date. 

He was born Dec. 19, 1953, in Lynchburg, Virginia, the son of Donald Eltrude and Enise Bruffy Shipwash.

He was a Navy veteran, and a retired painting contractor and owner of Shipwash Painting. He was of the Baptist faith. 

He is survived by Susan Brooks Shipwash, his beloved wife of 37 years; their daughters, Crystal J. Shipwash and Miranda J. Shipwash and son Adam Shipwash; his stepson Jamey J. Wood of Pennsylvania; and a niece and several grandchildren, all from New York. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Larry Dale Shipwash; his mother-in law Annie Compton Brooks and father-in law Matthew Brooks.
