Wanda Dixon, 70

Wanda Dixon, 70, of Bakersfield, died Oct. 24, 2021, at her home. A graveside service was held later that day at Baptist Hill Cemetery near Bakersfield.

She was born July 5, 1951, in Bakersfield, the daughter of Faye Farel Holstine and Grover Franklin Lawing. 

She enjoyed quilting, working in her flower gardens and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by three children, John Dixon of Bakersfield, Donnie Dixon or Pottersville and Rhonda Campbell of West Plains; four brothers, James Hayes and wife Rose of West Plains, Jack Lawing and wife Sharon of West Plains, Gene Farel and wife Connie, and Gary Johnston and wife Brenda, all of Bakersfield; eight grandchildren, Brittany, Larry, Natasha, Shane, Austin, Kaitlyn, Aaron and Noah; six special grandkids, Kasey, Jeremy, Nikki, Sean, Kaiyla and Kyle; seven great-grandkids; and many nieces, newphew and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents and great-grandparents; four sisters, Rosalee Lawrence, Joann Scott, Marilyn Edwards and Jimmie Lou Elyea; one brother, Joe Ray Lawrence; and special friends Larry Campbell and Jerry Jarvis.
